Former ‘The Voice’ Contestants Are Performing at Puckett’s in Franklin Jan. 12

On Saturday, Jan. 12, nine former contestants from NBC’s The Voice three seasons will gather for an intimate, singer-songwriter concert at Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant in downtown Franklin. The show will be the first of its kind for The Voice alumni, according to participating artist Nicole Johnson’s manager, Shannon Johnson.

“As far as I know, nobody has done anything like this at all. This will be the first big collaboration among the seasons, and we’re excited that it’s happening at a place as special as Puckett’s,” Shannon said. “There were so many other artists that wanted to play; we just didn’t have enough room. We’ve gotten such good feedback from people, and they are super, super excited.”

Nicole, a Team Blake contestant on season three, is the only artist who has performed at Puckett’s in the past. After talking with the Southern grocery and restaurant, she gathered the musicians from seasons one, two and three to host a performance that will include three rounds.

“Each artist will perform three songs, no back tracks and at least two originals. We told them that this is Nashville, and this is the way we do it!” Shannon said.

“What’s really cool about this is that most of these people have never performed at Puckett’s before. The two places Nicole and I always think is such an honor to sing at are Puckett’s and Bluebird [Café].”

Puckett’s General Manager Max Stephenson said tickets sold out nearly two weeks before the concert, and there has been a definite buzz surrounding the event.

“The response has been incredible. Our community is thrilled that we’re using our traditional Puckett’s format to host these particular artists,” Stephenson said. “We’re honored that they will be performing at Puckett’s, and that a collaboration that is the first of its kind is taking place in downtown Franklin.”

The participating artists for the Jan. 12 concert are: Adley Stump (season two); Celica Westbrook (season three); Cherie Oakley (season one); Jessica Cayne (season three); Jordan Rager (season two); Nicole Johnson (season three); Patrick Thomas (season one); Rudy Parris (season three); and 2Steel Girls (season three).

The concert is a sold-out event, BUT we are hosting a giveaway for two tickets HERE!!!!!

Puckett’s has decided to live-stream the performance for the public—a first for the restaurant. The concert will also be on singer Nicole Johnson’s site at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/nicolejohnsonmusic.
