Snag Your CASA Playhouse Tickets!

Starting today & continuing through October, Puckett’s Gro. in downtown Franklin and Puckett’s Boat House will be selling raffle tickets to win the Williamson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)’s 2017 Playhouse. This incredible nonprofit provides volunteers to advocate in court on behalf of children in Williamson County who have been in situations of neglect or abuse.

As one of its largest fundraisers of the year, CASA sells raffle tickets for a playhouse donated by local partners. This year’s Playhouse was professionally designed and constructed by Franklin Firefighters Charities, and it is valued at approximately $6,000!

During the month of October, our guests  can purchase a raffle ticket for just $10 from either restaurant to be entered in the drawing to win the Playhouse. Tickets are typically sold for $20, and A. Marshall Family Foods — our parent company — will cover the remaining $10 for each ticket purchased.

Last Year's Playhouse

Last Year’s Playhouse

“We look forward to the CASA Playhouse drawing every year,” says Marianne Schroer, Executive Director at Williamson County CASA. “Diners at Puckett’s and Puckett’s Boat House who purchase a ticket are truly making a difference in the lives of children in Williamson County.”

Inspired by the designs of HGTV’s Chip and Joanna Gaines (we know y’all love some Chip & Joanna), the Playhouse will have details like a metal roof with an awning, an exposed beam interior ceiling complete with a chandelier, wiring for electricity and a custom-made front door. Um, yes please. Can we just live there?!

Tom Zazzetti, our GM at Puckett’s Franklin, has a very personal connection to the CASA organization. Originally from Joliette, Illinois, Tom and his family moved to the Franklin area nearly three years ago. While in Illinois, the Zazzettis began the process of gaining custody of their niece, Brooklyn. Her mother interacted with drugs, so Brooklyn became a ward of the state of Illinois. CASA of Will County provided Brooklyn with consultation, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

“We wanted to go through this process in the best way possible for Brooklyn. We worked with CASA of Will County for nearly 3 years, and they helped guide us through uncharted territory,” Tom says. “We were able to officially adopt Brooklyn in February of this year.”

When Tom started working as the new GM in Franklin, the ladies from CASA came in Puckett’s for lunch one day. Tom started talking to them and told them his story, and he wanted to get the restaurant involved with CASA. He mentioned the organization to our owner, Andy Marshall, and Andy absolutely loved the idea of supporting the Playhouse and CASA. We’re now entering our third year of selling Playhouse tickets, and we never cease to be amazed by the difficult and crucial work Williamson County CASA does for countless children and families in our community.

“The CASA organization guided my family through a difficult situation, and the support they’ve provided us has been amazing.” Tom says. “Fundraising is critical for CASA to be able to assist children and families who find themselves in the same situation that I was in, so the A. Marshall team is always eager to give back to them in any way that we can.”

All proceeds from raffle ticket sales will benefit CASA, and the winner will be drawn on the main stage during Pumpkinfest in Franklin at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 28!

Mission Possible: We Beat Our Mission H2O Goal!

IMG_8885 (1)

For the third consecutive year, our 5th & Church location in downtown Nashville ran the “Mission H2O” campaign benefitting Nashville Rescue Mission throughout the month of August.

We set our most ambitious goal yet, aiming to donate 25,000 water bottles to the Mission during one of the hottest months of the year (which was 10,000 more than our goal last year, might we add)…and our final total was 27,360 bottles!

Thanks to generous donations made by diners and corporate sponsors, we were able to help Nashville’s homeless population in a truly meaningful way.

The A. Marshall Family Foods Director of Marketing, Rachel Layton, is thankful for the way our community rallies around the campaign each year.

“Mission H2O is truly a moving and rewarding experience, and it’s a chain of selfless acts that makes reaching our goal possible. The generosity of Nashvillians, Puckett’s fans, and our sponsors and partners never ceases to amaze me.” Layton says. “Being able to provide our fellow humans with a basic human need is all that matters.”

We were able to exceed our donation goal thanks in part to the donations made by our incredible community partners, including Propak, Mobile Fixtures, Twine Graphics & Screen Printing, A Moment’s Peace Spa, BigRMedia, Boyle Investment Company, Pierce Public Relations, Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association, SunTrust Bank, Wingate Media Group, Young Leaders Council, Vision Hospitality Group, Planet H2O, and Ajax Turner.

Kimbro Water Company supplied the bottles at a reduced cost, and we couldn’t make this dream happen each year without their help.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Nashville!

Made in Tennessee: Puckett’s + The Soundtrack of America

Commissioner Kevin Triplett and Andy Marshall

It was such a treat to host the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development at 5th & Church yesterday as they made a special announcement!

TDTD Commissioner Kevin Triplett took our stage to launch the department’s “The Soundtrack of America. Made in Tennessee” merchandise, which includes t-shirts, tank tops, coffee mugs, hats, water bottles & even onesies for your little ones. We’re proud to say that Puckett’s 5th & Church is the first location in the state to have these awesome items for sale!

The mission of the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development is to inspire visitors to travel to the state and create lifelong memories and authentic experiences that can only be “Made in Tennessee,” which is something that Puckett’s supports 100%.

“The Soundtrack of America is, of course, music, but it is so much more,” says Commissioner Triplett. “It is collection of sounds that stir memories that make time in Tennessee enjoyable. Whether it’s the scenic beauty of the great outdoors, a stop through a quaint town or trip to a big city, communities pride themselves on Southern hospitality, welcoming travelers to Tennessee from around the world. These unparalleled experiences create a vacation that is “The Soundtrack of America. Made in Tennessee.”

Drumroll, please…We’re tickled to announce that our Chattanooga location will be serving concessions at Finley Stadium for Chattanooga Mocs home football games at Finley Stadium! The first home game is slated for this Saturday, Sept. 16, versus UT Martin, and we can’t wait to serve the best football fans around.

In addition to the five home football games, Puckett’s concessions will also be served at the Chattanooga Football Club games next spring!

“We are very excited to have Puckett’s going into concessions for Mocs football games this year,” says Travis Patrick, director of business development for Mocs Sports Properties. “As we continually work to improve the football game day atmosphere, we look for new partners to help us add value to our fans. With Puckett’s bringing in that value and providing another quality food option, we can expect to see more fans lining up for Mocs Football Saturdays.”

We’ll be serving up some of your favorites, like our signature Piggy Mac, Redneck Burrito, chicken tenders and fries, hot chicken sandwich, brisket nachos, smoked wings and more!

“Our son, Cliff, attended UTC, so the Marshall family has supported Mocs Football for years now,” says Andy Marshall, CEO of A. Marshall family Foods. “We’re honored to have this opportunity to form a relationship with Finley Stadium and UTC Football and hope that Mocs fans find that game days are enhanced by our presence in the stadium.”

We’ll be located in the East Corner of the South Concourse at Finley, so be sure to come see us!
