fullsizerender-4Here at A. Marshall Family Foods, we work hard to show our respect to service men and women any time they dine with us. We have several veterans who are part of our A. Marshall family, and we believe that a simple “thank you” and a smile could never come close to acknowledging the sacrifices they’ve made for us.

This year, we want to give the rest of our customers the chance to do the same, by offering them the opportunity to write a quick note of gratitude on an index card, from Saturday, Nov. 5 until Thursday, Nov. 10 at all of our restaurants. Our servers will collect these all week and hand them out to any veterans we have the honor of serving on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11.

We’d also like to invite anyone who is passing by one of our restaurants to stop in and jot down their thanks, even if you can’t stay for a meal. It’s a small gesture that we know will mean a lot to these special men and women in our community!

Y’all know at Puckett’s we take our barbecue seriously — we don’t cook it low n’ slow for 18 hours over cherry wood for nothin’! But we’d be remiss if we didn’t also give our famous barbecue sauces, spices, seasonings and rubs the credit they deserve! We use them to flavor our own award-winning recipes (did you know Puckett’s ribs were listed in the Top 10 in the 2015 book “The 100 Best BBQ Restaurants in America”?) and since we believe in spreading the #puckettslove, we sell them to our customers!

Questions about which sauce is right for you? Max Stephenson, the former general manager of Puckett’s Gro. in Franklin who now manages our Chattanooga location, explains the difference best in this video:

We think a few of these would make for a mighty tasty stocking stuffer or holiday hostess gift for the ‘cue enthusiast in your life! They’ve also been known to turn some non-barbecue believers into full fledged fanatics! We always say there’s a seat for everybody at the Puckett’s table, and the same is true of our sauces and spices. If you ask us, there’s no better gift than the gift of the Puckett’s flavor!

P.S. If you prefer to purchase in person, our products are available in our restaurants and in Kroger stores across Middle Tennessee.

October Burger & Drink of the Month: Pumpkin Spice Burger, Punkin Punch

It’s no secret that pumpkin spice-anything is all the rage. So we thought adding some of the fall flavor to our classic burger wouldn’t be such a bad thing.. and we were right!

Created by the Puckett’s Gro. team in Franklin, October’s Burger of the Month features Puckett’s classic burger, crispy onion straws, candied spice bacon, pumpkin cream cheese and leaf lettuce, served with sweet potato fries. (We were sold at candied spice bacon!) When it’s all combined between a brioche bun, you better believe it packs a fantastic fall punch!

If you’re more keen on sipping your pumpkin flavor, we recommend taking our October Drink of the Month, Punkin Punch, for a spin! It features Corsair Old Punk, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, apple cider, lemon juice, cinnamon, clove and orange. The most refreshing way to celebrate the season, if you ask us!

We’ll be rolling out November’s burger in a few short days, so go check out the Pumpkin Spice Burger and Punkin Punch at any of our Puckett’s Gro. locations while you still can.. and let us know what you think!
