The time has come for one of our favorite traditions….the Name The Smoker Contest! We smoke our BBQ slow ‘n’ low over cherrywood, just like Andy’s done from the very beginning, and our smokers are like family around here. We like to bestow a proper name upon each and every one, including Hog Father in Nashville, Jolene in Franklin, Cherry Underwood in Columbia, Ruby in Chattanooga and Hoss & Lil Joe riding behind Ms. Trolley Parton for events.

The challenge is now on for y’all to come up with a fitting name for the piece of culinary wonder that brings you our world-famous ribs, brisket and pulled pork in the ‘Boro.

To show some Blue Raider love, we’ll be doubling the prize amounts for any winner who is a MTSU student! In addition to earning bragging rights and BBQ glory, winners will receive:

  • Name The Smoker Contest Winner: $250 Puckett’s Gift Card ($500 if you’re an MTSU student!)
  • Runner-Up: $50 Puckett’s gift card ($100 if you attend MTSU)
  • 2nd Runner-Up: $25 Puckett’s gift card (yep, that’s $50 if you’re a Blue Raider!)

Fire it Up, Chattanooga! {Name That Smoker Contest}

Now that we’re officially a month in since the grand opening of Puckett’s Chattanooga, it’s time for one of our favorite traditions…….. the “Name That Smoker” contest!

As y’all know, we smoke our BBQ slow ‘n’ low over cherrywood, just like Andy’s done from the very beginning in Leiper’s Fork.

In an effort to honor our most faithful employees (haha), we have a long line of aptly-named smokers that are unique to each restaurant’s location, including Hog Father in Nashville, Jolene in Franklin, Cherry Underwood in Columbia, and Hoss & Lil Joe riding behind Ms. Trolley Parton for events.

Chattanooga’s smoker has been patiently waiting, but the time has come for the Scenic City to get fired up and leave THEIR mark on the first Puckett’s smoker to ever live outside of Middle Tennessee!

The challenge is on for all you Chattanoogans to come up with a fitting name for the piece of culinary wonder that brings y’all our world-famous ribs, brisket and pulled pork.   

As if putting  your mark on Puckett’s Chattanooga isn’t reason enough to put that thinking cap on, the first and second place winners will win some pretty great prizes too—First Place includes a $100 Puckett’s gift card, a one night stay at the Hilton Garden Inn from Vision Hospitality group, a certificate for a stay at the Chattanoogan Hotel and tickets to the Aquarium from the Chattanooga CVB. And Second Place is no loser: they’ll receive a $50 Puckett’s gift card and tickets to the Creative Discovery Museum from the River City Company!

Puckett’s Columbia Bluegrass on the Square Summer Series

It’s that time of the year again, y’all—our second Bluegrass on the Square Summer Series is officially underway! This event features great local artists with a deep appreciation for bluegrass culture + music.

Bluegrass on the Square Summer Concert Series will take place every Friday night at 8 p.m. through July 24 and includes a lineup of artists that’ll get your toes tappin’ and your hips shaking, like The Ham Family, Back 80 Bluegrass Band, and Dana Romanello.

And if that wasn’t enough, we’ll be giving away two tickets to the following week’s Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman concert at each Bluegrass on the Square shows. To be eligible to win tickets to the Ryman, sign up at your tables before the show begins each Friday, and be present at the end of the evening when the winner is drawn. You could win tickets to great shows like Vince Gill on June 25, The Del McCoury Band on July 2 or Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder on July 30!

Admission to the Bluegrass on the Square Summer Concert Series is free, so make sure to come grab a bite to eat and jam to some live music!

And The Winner Is… (March Drink Of The Month)

The votes are in and the winner of the March drink of the month contest is the Irish Spring, concocted by the folks at Puckett’s Franklin (they’re three for three now, y’all!)

To make this lip-lickin’ libation, we take Jameson Irish Whiskey and mixed it with peach schnapps, orange juice and sweet ‘n sour for a classic taste. We all agree the Irish Spring’s the perfect cocktail to sip on while you thaw out from this dang winter that doesn’t seem to want to go away.

We’ve also already gotten a head start on polling for April’s drink of the month, so be sure to check out our Facebook and Twitter pages to cast your vote now!

And the winner is…..

The votes were close in our first-ever cocktail contest (more on that here), but we heard y’all loud and clear!

We wanted to start 2015 off with a drink of the month that YOU chose – which happened to be the Happy New Year, a champagne creation by our team at Puckett’s Franklin.

It’s bright and refreshing, and aligned with the sophistication and bubbly personalities you’ll find on America’s Favorite Main Street: the Happy New Year is made with champagne, Chambord raspberry liquer and topped off with a few blackberries to add a little extra sweetness. The downtown Franklin crew did a mighty fine job with this one y’all, so if you haven’t gotten to try it, don’t walk – RUN!

It won’t be long before we start looking at the contenders for February’s drink of the month, so be on the lookout on our Facebook pages + Twitter, ‘cause they’ll be coming soon – we can’t wait to see what each location comes up with this time!
